Who we are
We are Plymstock Lawn Tennis Club. Our constitution describes the full details of our objectives which can be summarised as helping members to play tennis.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
No personal data is collected on people merely because they are using this website.
No cookies are used. No tracking of browser history or individual activities is attempted.
We will request contact details from members. Details would include telephone numbers and email addresses.
Members contact details would be used for :
- Informing members of administrative events such as club meetings.
- Informing members of sporting events such as matches and club sessions.
- Informing members of social events.
Who we share your data with
Outside of the above uses, we do not share members data.
How we store your data
Members of the committee will keep records on their personal computers.
Club members, if they wish, may leave these details on paper on the club house notice boards. This would mean that anyone in the club, including visitors, would be able to read the information. The most likely use would be finding who is available at short notice to play tennis, although this could not be enforced.
How we protect your data
Committee members are given advice on basic computer security techniques and email etiquette.
The club house may be accessed by visitors. Members are encouraged to use their own judgement about any personal data put on the club house notice boards.
